I missed my weekly recap last week due to travel so there is a bit more reading in here than usual. I hope you find something you like!
Great posts….
- 10 Lessons Learned from Starting a Small Business: Steve Woodruff posted a good article on Small Business Branding about starting a small business. Steve talks about what he’s learned since venturing out on his own in 2005.
- Turn Your PPC Advertising Campaign Into An Effective Search Marketing Machine: Brad Geddes has turned in another great article on PPC. He talks about using your PPC campaigns to further your marketing message and not just as an advertising medium.
- On building the Lists for B2B Lead Generation Programs: Brian Carroll makes some very good points about using lists of contacts for marketing purposes. I’ve learned over time that buying a huge list of random contacts is never as good as a home-grown list from your database.
- Improve your account performance with expert help: Google is offering a free AdWords Campaign Optimization review for advertisers. Over the last year I’ve been impressed with the knowledge of the reps I work with. If you haven’t spoken with them about tips for improving your campaign, this would be a good opportunity.
- Things You Shouldn’t Care About in PPC: Jeremy Mayes has posted a list of questions many new PPC advertisers ask (I remember wanting to ask those same questions). He makes some great points as to why the answers don’t matter. Great article!
- Benefits of Blogging: Networking: Another post from Steve Woodruff! I liked this post because it highlights the reason I started and maintain the Lonely Marketer.
